The Honorable Mark Keam...
As some of you may have found out, my brother won the state representative seat in Virginia last week. As a delegate to the Commonwealth of Virginia, Mark is the first Asian-American to fill such position. My hats off to the little brother...

John Muir Trail - Summer 2009
The "Kim Hiking Team" completed a 48 mile hike on the segment of John Muir Trail, from 8/10/2009 - 8/14/2009. We started at Rock creek, and completed at Reds Meadow/Mammoth Lakes. Wow!!!
Thanks to the Chuns (Brian & Tae), and the Houghtons (Alex & Tom), who had put up with us for the grueling 4 days!
The sock is alive!!!!!

The Kim Family conquers Mount San Gorgonio!!!
The notorious "9 peaks" in the San Gorgonia Wilderness was conquered by the Kim's on a 4 day hike with 18 others from Troop 93!!!
The "9 peaks" are:
1. San Bernardino Peak 10,649 Ft
2. East San Bernardino Peak 10,691 Ft
3. Anderson Peak 10,840 Ft
4. Shields Peak 10,680 Ft
5. Alto Diablo 10,563 Ft
6. Charlton Peak 10,806 Ft
7. Little Charlton Peak 10,696 Ft
8. Jepson Peak 11,205 Ft
9. San Gorgonio Peak 11,501 Ft
The trip started at 6am on 7/2/2009 and was completed on 7/5/2009. On 4th of July, we were on the "summit" of San Gorgonio, having a birds-eye view of the southern California basin with fireworks going up everywhere!!

Cameron's 3rd birthday
Joooonooo turns 3!!! He was soooo happy that we went to his favorite, Chuck-E-Cheeses for the celebration!!!
Mistletoe Sales, Troop 93
Troop 93 raise money each year through the "Mistletoe Sales." Mistletoe, which are really parasites growing on Oak trees were harvested by the troop parents near Victorville. The troop then packaged more than 3,000 Mistletoe bags, which were "sold" at various locations. "Kisses" were guarateed, as we gave out Hershey's Kisses with the donations!!!
The boys are proud to have earned funds for summer camp 2009. They were especially proud as 10% of our proceeds went to help the recent fire victims on Orange county...

Daddy in Bangkok
Jin recently lectured at the 8th Asian Congress of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, in Bangkok, Thailand. It was attended by more than 800 specislists from the region. He was one of 3 speakers from the US. What an honor!!!
Jin lectured on innovative cutting-edge surgical techniques on Dental Implants to an audience of 200+ oral surgeons and dental specialists.

Cameron's first trip to South America
Dr Jin Kim recently lectured in Santiago, Chile, and Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was especially honored that he lectured side-by-side with his respected teacher in periodontics, Professor Fermin Carranza, also known as "Modern Day Father of Periodontics" by many. Moon hike on Catalina Island
